The Character of a person is tested by what they do when there is no one watching or only one person to watch. In the real world, a person’s character is tested when they are in a situation where there is no one to watch them. In this case, the protagonist has been broken into and the only thing that she can do is sit and wait for someone to come and save her. She tries to construct a story but cannot fully explain what happened.

She knows that she didn’t do anything wrong but there is something off about the way everything happened. The protagonist feels as if she was not herself for some reason and so she tries to reconstruct her past version of reality so that it makes sense again. But, she can never completely comprehend what happened to her since everything was rewritten and the truth is lost forever.
